I have the aspire s24. My bluetooth stopped working. I have reinstalled the driver but that didnt helped. Also restarted the bluetooth support in services but that didnt helped either. What other options are there to make it work please?

IIRC you have the Intel 7265 chipset on an M.2 card that handles both Wireless and Bluetooth. The Acer part number for the card is: KI.STN01.008. Is the WiFi side of things working fine or does it disappear sometimes as well? Either way it could be the card or it's connection to the socket, but if only Bluetooth it's also possible that it's something in software, for instance a driver taking over and never letting go even when that device isn't connected. What do you typically use the Bluetooth for, and do you have more than one device that you use?

The Wifi is fine. I havent seen any loss of signal or anything wrong with it. The bluetooth was alway on and i use it mainly to send media to and from mobile phones. The night before it stopped working i have used it to send a few mp3s to a mobile phone.

So if the issue is with the software or the driver taking over then what can i do to sort it out?

I've been wracking my brain to think of how it could be software and I'm not having any luck. The drivers have been pretty stable for quite a while and nothing else you should be running is likely to block the Bluetooth function. I think the fix will be to either clean the card contacts by seating and re-seating it a few times or to replace the card, either with the same version or a newer card.

I have installed a program called driver installer. I have run that. It said at the end that there is a driver already on the computer and its all set and runnning. And that seems to me dis the trick. Suddenly it all works fine. Thank you for your input and answers it got me keep looking and teying to fiz it.

I'm having the same problem. But Microsoft is saying that it's because Acer needs to update the driver (this after  Bluetooth stopped working after a Windows update). What is the name of the driver installer you used? Maybe it's worth a try!

Press F3 key or Fn & F3 key together, see if that activates BT, as this step is appropriate for other laptops.
