Hi guys, so I bought the laptop around 2 years ago and my warranty expired already. Recently I noticed there were no more airflow coming out of the vents even when the fan is on max so i think its because of the dust built-up. I looked through youtube (Hotel Hero) for videos on how to remove the cover and fans. The question is, can I only clean the fan and leave the stock paste and the thermal pads as it is? as in taking the fan out and clean it and put it back in without touching any of the thermal pads/paste?

Thermal paste needs to be replaced every time you disassemble any heatsink, to avoid forming air bubbles on it, thus decreasing efficiency.
But you can reuse thermal pads, even better if they do not get moved or tore apart; if you damage them, they may get less effective, but it really depends on the damage to make any difference. While RAM and VRM are somehow less sensitive to temps than CPU and GPU, a laptop is always a sensible device, so it is better to be ready to replace their thermal pads, just in case.
Nothing peaks at the same time...

Joneschong as strider16 said and very well you cant disassemble the heatsink without having thermal paste to repaste it it common sense everyone knows that the thermal pads do not need to be replaced if they arent damaged (or damaged in disassembling) and the fans and exit airflow need to be cleaned properly and use a good thermal paste like kryonaut or similar spread method only a thin layer covering both diodes its enough too much paste its bad and of course dont forget to clean the diodes and surroundings properly with isopropyl alcohol 99% using cotton buds for ex i would recommend you to repaste and clean everything properly but cleaning the fans its possible without disassembling the heatsink in some old models
