I bought Acer Aspire - Acer A315-21-2109, 7th GEN. I need to install windows 7, however, the system did not allowed. Is there any possibilities to change or how does it work? Please let me know asap.

Hi, I just getting same problem but after Window 10 it is working normal. But yes. if you want to getting this kind of problem then you should only install window 10 and if your pen-drive will be having window 10 setup only then it will shows in bios.
    Thanks

Work like a charm confirm use "FAT32" format for Bootable FlashDrive.

Hi guys I also have the same problem. I went as far as taking out the laptop hard drive, my laptop is Acer Aspire 3 by the way. So I took out the lap top hard drive and formatted it clean, out of frustration, now when I put in my usb which is a bootable, thanks to Rufus, the laptop still doesn't detect the usb. I enabled F12 and found nothing but secure Boot which is Enabled and Boot priority order which is empty. Please help.

    so easy

    use F2 for bios

    go to MAIN MENU

    now enable F12 Boot menu

    use F10 for save setting

    now restert computer

    download Rufus

    now open rufus

    plug pen drive

go to Partition scheme and target system type

select < GPT partition scheme for UEFI >

now go to creat a bootable disk using

add windows 10 64 bit iso

    now start

    after complite,

    unplug pendrive

now plug ur pendrive in ur new laptop

    press power

    then F12 for boot menu

    when displayed boot manager

select < USB HDD: GENERIC FLASH DISK  >

    PRESS ENTER

    Smiley Happy

    ONE MORE STEP TO FOLLOW:

In the BIOS menu, after <SECURE BOOT: DISABLE>

go back to SECURITY, down is option <Select an UEFI file as trusted for executing:..>

in this menu is possible to choose one or more UEFI files from connected USB drive and adding that to database (saved at TMP chip)

After that and restart you can see your USB drive in the <F12 boot menu>

well I contacted acer support.. they say a315 doesn't support windows 7 and legasy bios.

why these OEMs are forcing windows 10. we should make the choice, not them. perhaps this is my last acer laptop.

if anyone find any fix/hack pls let me know.

    thanks a l

I've now gotten the USB option and it boots, however ...

performed the steps of entering a password into BIOS, then using RUFUS under win 10 to create the bootable USB drive for Linux Mint 19.2 cinnamon, 64 bit

after telling IOS to boot from USB, because the now have the option, it shows 4 options for the USB, Linux Mint 19.2 and COMPATIBILITY for LM 19.2

the others are for testing purposes

when I attempt the forst option, nothing shows up

when I select the compatibility option, it boots to the LM cinnomon GUI.  But, the mouse and keyboard don't do anything, so it's unuable

    any suggestions?
