Sppnra if they changed the thermal paste and youre above 80 on the gpu (which its bad ) its a bad repaste i would ask them to repaste it again if possible with kryonaut or similar (u can buy it for them to use it if they accept it) also optimize your windows and undervolt check here (which was already posted above) and make sure the back its lifter 2/3 inches for a proper airflow up to 85'ish on the cpu its fine

No they didn't change the thermal paste they said  it's a new laptop thermal paste is fine only they open it and check the thermal paste is applied properly or not and I m not getting above 85 on the cpu max is 81 but my GPU is going upto 86 and remain constant on that. What should I do

I use MSI afterburner to tweak the temp limit now it's working fine i set the limit to 80. It's not going way above 80 but I m getting sudden frame drops on games from 144fps to 112

Sppnra if i were you i would get them to change the thermal paste many times its a bad repaste from stock and ask them if they could use the paste you provide if they say yes get some kryonaut as i said 80 on gpu its too much its the thermal throttling limit shouldnt go above 75 :)

Sppnra stock thermal paste its not good especially when badly applied in factory cpu temps are fine gpu its a bit high its hitting the limits before gpu thermal throttling also make sure you have the back lifter 2/3 inches at all times for a proper airflow u can also undervolt the gpu with afterburner curve check hotel hero youtube channel in my signature

Download latest Predator Sense as of April 2020.  If heating problem still persist, with laptop unplugged, remove bottom cover. Review You Tube videos if you are not sure how to remove bottom cover. Disconnect battery pack from motherboard ... be gentle and slow. Also removal of copper heat sink assembly (several small screws) so you are able to remove, clean, apply new Thermal Paste like Grizzly Kryonaut or Arctic MX-4 on both CPU and GPU.  Acer like most manufacturers use a standard cheap thermal compound and really no reason for it other than to save less than 50 cents per unit/ laptop. I guess they do it so your laptop will fry and buy another sooner than expected or to keep those Thermal Paste companies in business. Every business does cut corners somewhere to save money, they don't want things to last cause if they did, they would be out of business. Tell Intel to make better CPU's so we don't have to worry about Thermal Throttling and reduce amount of current to run them so we don't reach beyond 80 degree celcius ever. Air flow is used for cooling because condensation / moisture is extremely fatal to electronic components. (water and electricity are not compatible). Dirt and Dust not good cause they tend to hold moisture and cause corrosion also prevent / block air flow as you don't want your laptop to catch fire.

And I kept my CPU on balance mode and fan speed on max I didn't hit turbo button yet because it doesn't make a big difference

Sppnra its fine u can optimize your windows properly if u havent already and try to tweak the undervolt voltage a bit more but up to 85max its acceptable on the cpu the gpu its almost on the max tolerated temps but u should be file also if they opened it and havent resealed it back u can open it yourself and repaste it with kryonaut or similar if u wish so

Not really any problem. It depends on many factors.

    In terms of thermal paste:

The GPU die has a much larger surface area than the CPU therefore the CPU needs more cooling. I use Kryonaut on mine. I'd have to say it's the best performing thermal paste.

For the GPU I've had excellent results with just regular high end paste like Arctic MX-4 or Noctua NT-H2. You can use Kryonaut here again if you'd like as well.

Another factor is the graphic settings in your games. If you are playing at ultra settings, this will drive your GPU to work harder (sometimes even your CPU as well). So if you can drop the settings to maybe a high or medium or turn off shadows then you should see some lower temps.

Last recommendation I'd say is to get a laptop cooler. Not only do they make the ergonomics better but the fans help cool the laptop a bit as well.

    Hope that helps.

I use Asus GPU tweak to limit my temperature i have set it 77 max. Now it's not going above 77 and still using 98% of GPU and my CPU is going around 77 to 81 on ultra settings in battlefield 1 and giving me 72 avg fps and on turbo mode it's going around 84
