Good morning fellow Predator users, I just bought my son his second Predator Helios 300 and I noticed while I was setting it up, that it was downloading super slow. His first Predator laptop would download lighting fast. I noticed that the new laptop has MIMO technology and it is twice as fast. Is there a setting that I need to adjust or disable to get faster downloads? It took 45 minutes to download a 20 MB file, that is not acceptable. Don’t know if the laptop is defective and if it is I need to return it for a new one. Anyone out there go through the same? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

By default you would receive manufactured wireless drivers which may be outdated. i would suggest you to visit acer website to download wireless drivers and install it. Post this restart the device to take the effect and check the performance.

Sure. Open Device Manager. Click network adapter folder. Right click on the wifi adapter. Select properties. Click advanced tab. Click preferred band. If set to no preference, try 2.4GHz band. If no joy, then try the 5GHz band. Jack E/NJ

Hi Acer you need to tell people to turn of predator sense pairing and watch your download speeds go back to normal.
