Greetings Gentlemen and -women,

a couple of years ago I purchased the VN7-792G-798L and it served me well. Didn't regret that decision ever since.
Now, as the good machine has come to some age I decided to give it a facelift instead of replacing the whole system and added some RAM and bought a new SSD, a Samsung 970 EVO Plus with 500Gigs.

The problem is: the RAM works well but the SSD doesn't get recognized by the BIOS. I did some hours of research now and but I couldn't find the reason for that particular issue.
The specs: my Laptop has the motherboard NB.G6R11.004 (Bios 1.8, UEFI enabled) and had a Toshiba SATA III (M+B Key) SSD preset. I feared that I bought the mainboard would support only SATA III SSDs and not my 970 EVO Plus, which I bought without further doubt that my Notebook would get along with it. So I looked at the M.2-Port and found that it is an M-Key-Slot. According to the internet, only PCIe-Ports use the M-Key... so it should fit, shouldn't it?
To my surprise, my wife's E5-575G-56ED _does_ recognize the 970 EVO Plus and she is enjoying the benefits of the surplus speed my new purchase brought to her.

I am absolutely clueless why the SSD doesn't get recognized.

I would be really gratefull if someone here were able to help me.

Thank you in advance.

Took the time to install Windows again on the old SSD and to check the System with hwinfo.

Theres just three PCIe busses.. used by ethernet, WiFi and graphics card. FML. Case closed. Thanks anyway.
