I have seen other threads on here about this problem but I want to start my own for visibility. I just bought this system March 15 2020 and everything has been fine until about a week ago. Now I get random freezes and instant reboots. They seem to get worse and worse, until now I can barely do anything in windows longer than 10 minutes.

- temperatures appear normal
- happens in and out of games, using browser, whatever; no correlation to any one program
- I have not overlocked, I never use "turbo," no modifications whatsoever, except:
- I have a 500GB SSD in the NVME slot which I added after purchase
- leaves zero indication in Event Viewer or Reliability Report, even with crash dumps enabled; Event Viewer notes that the system restarted unexpectedly, but that's it
- I have done a system restore back to a week ago
- I have done a windows reinstall WITH files kept intact
- I have done a clean windows reinstall files
- I am doing a memory test now but I doubt it finds anything
- I chatted with Acer support and they recommend I boot into bios and leave it overnight (to confirm if it is hardware?)

I have seen other people on here say they turned in their machine to be repaired, but got it back with the same problem. What the hell should we do, here?

I thought it had to be a windows update breaking something, but on the clean reinstall I stopped all updates and it still froze and crash almost immediately. This seems to me like failing hardware.

    Update:

    windows memory test found nothing.
I opened Witcher 3 last night and let it play at title screen for an hour: no problems. Then I loaded a game and let Geralt stand there in the city for another two hours. No problems. This was with zero usb slots being used.

Today I plug in a wireless mouse and the system freezes and crashes within minutes. Could it be related to usb drivers somehow? I went to device manager and uninstalled everything under USB. Then restarted, and windows restored everything that was there already.
