I am thinking of buying m.2 NVMe SSD for my A515-52-51T2. I surfed YouTube for some videos tutorial and found bunch of it.
The problem here is that from those videos I saw different models of Nitro 5, unfortunately they didnt mentioned the model series.
From those videos I saw a difference between one and another.
1. Have 2 m.2 slot. These slots located above the HDD slot. The guy install m.2 SSD with M key
2. Have 1 m.2 slot. The slot located near RAM slot
The guy install m.2 SSD with B&M key

But i dont know whether both are using NVMe PCIe or NVMe SATA.

So, for A515-52-51T2 which m.2 NVMe SSD should I buy?

    Hi,
The difference is one is Aspire 5 model(A515-52) and the other is Acer Nitro 5( with prefix ANxxx-xx)
A515-52 has one M.2 SSD slot and the Nitro 5 has two slots.
You can use a M.2 NVMe SSD in A515-52.

I am not tech savvy, but m.2 SSD has different key (head) model, no?
There are M,B, and B&M key.
Which one is fit to it?

    Or it doesnt matter?

    Hi,
The slots are compatible with both types of SSDs and only in some models, it's made for specific SSDs, so in short "yes" to your last question.

    A quick clarification,
    1. By "both" you mean is three (3): B, M, and B&M
    2. My model is A515-51-51T2, and you said "Yes" for my last question
Meaning I can buy any m.2 NVMe SSD PCIe model I want to install it on my laptop and it will work. Am I correct ?

P.S.: Just to give everyone clarity, by "Key" in SSD is as below:

    Hi,
    1. I meant M.2 SATA and M.2 NVMe types of SSDs, the socket will be the same but when you insert a M.2 SATA SSD, the pins needed for NVMe will not contact because of the second gap in the M.2 SATA SSD.
    2. It doesn't matter as long as you buy the compatible M.2 NVMe SSD, it will work, for example from my link in the earlier post, you can see WD PC SN520 SDAPNUW-512G SSD is compatible, you can also find other compatible SSDs like Samsung Evo 970, etc.

    Okay, lets draw conclusion here:
    1. Acer Nitro 5 A515-52-51T2 supports both m.2 NVMe SATA and m.2 NVMe SATA PCIe
    2. The SSD Keys (M,B,or B+M) doesn't matter because all of them can fit and work with the laptop

I can't edit my comment to add image:
Here is the image from youtube video.
See the yellow box, from what I see it's an either B or M key. But the guy installed B+M key.
So, B+M keyed SSD can fit on both B or M key slot,  no?

    Hi,
    1. There are no M.2 NVMe SATA drives, they are either M.2 NVMe SSD or M.2 SATA SSD, PCIe is another name for NVMe.
    2. M keyed SSDs and B+M keyed SSDs can fit in the slot, most of the NVMe/PCIe SSDs are M keyed, there are also few NVMe SSDs come with B+M keys as well.
