I haven't been able to encounter someone explaining it in baby talk or in talk that's easy for someone who isn't techy to understand. nor have I been able to find a tutorial for my exact laptop, because it seems like it matters? i'm not sure if it does, but everytime in a tutorial video they say very specifically what type of computer it's for.
this is my laptops normal temp when i just have google and discord open: {click here}
and this is when i've been playing AC unity for about 15-20 minutes: [click here]
i checked out this post https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/577183/throttlestop-undervolt-profiles-pre-made/p1 and downloaded everything just fine, downloaded the correct one, I had it running in the background while I was playing but it didn't really make any difference at all, it was exactly the same. So i have a feeling there might be a button somewhere to run it properly or something I'm not doing? If anyone has any ideas that would be great thank you
for reference, this is the exact laptop i have/bought and it's specs are on there: [click for amazon link]

    It is possible that instead of running cooler, you just got more fps.
    You could try limiting the framerate in the settings of the game
