Iconia A1-810 stuck on 'erasing' after attempting reset. Help!

My A1-810 began to suffer from the dreaded boot loop problem a few days ago. After several attempts at restarting and booting from a hard restart (volume and on off button) I decided to give it a factory reset.

Now, instead of the boot loop it's stuck on the 'erasing' screen. This happened 2 days ago, and no matter how many times it's switched off it just goes straight to this...

Incidentally, I just this minute got off the phone to Acer support.

To say I'm unimpressed is an understatement. Completely unhelpful and immediately began telling me that I should send it away for a repair at the cost of 55 pounds!!

Err... Hang on.

It just over a year old and though out of the 12 month warranty (which is always a bone of contention for me) I'm sure that within statutory rights it comes under the point of it being not fit for purpose and not working for a reasonable amount of time.

Still, that I will take up with Acer personally...

Until then, is there any way to get this out of the erasing mode?

One more Iconia A1-810 stuck on 'erasing' Android after attempting reset.

Is it motherboard replacement only solution?

    Any advice will be helpful.

I love this unit and wouldn`t send it to rubish.

Having same reboot, factory reset, erasing issue.
I will never ever buy Acer again, nor ever recommend.
How about making a quality product, instead of having these discussion sites to fix your crappy tablet.

TOO MANY similar issues.  Seems to me this is an OS issue, which is intended to make the tablet obsolete.  Anyone with the tech savvy able to followup?
