I had put it on sleep for a few hours, and when I came back to it, it would not boot up. When I power it on, the fans start working but then turn off after a couple of minutes. Cannot access windows recovery even after I tried forced shutdown. When I tried spamming ALT and F10, it would only say "Please wait" and then just leads to a black screen. Please help!!

    Hi drewwalker,
Please try doing a battery reset and BIOS defaults. Steps to do a battery reset.
    1) Remove the charger if connected and press and hold power button to make sure that unit is off.
    2) Turn around the laptop and look at the bottom panel for a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol drawn by side of it.
    3) Take a thin paper clip and press and hold it down in that pin hole for 30 seconds. Connect the charger

Ones this is done steps to do BIOS default.
    1) Press the power button just ones and immediately start tapping F2 key which is on top row of keyboard for 10-15 times until you get the BIOS blue screen .
    2) Ones in BIOS tap F9 one time, and hit Enter.
    3) Press F10 one time and hit Enter. Computer should boot up after that.  Please let me know if this fixes your issue.
