Open the elevated command prompt. Enter 'sfc /scannow' . This will check and repair any filesystem errors. It will take an hour or so to complete. Jack E/NJ
i also suggest that you check the health of the hdd with crystaldiskinfo. Although the 100% disk is most of the time a windows problem, it is possible that it is also a hard disk problem.

Yes, agree with @egydiocoelho . Also go back to the elevated command prompt. Enter ' chkdsk C: /f /r /x' . You should get a message asking to auto scan C: at the next boot. Hit yes Y. Then exit the command prompt and reboot. That should fix the corrupted files. Jack E/NJ
When at 100% use Resource Monitor to look at disk usage. Which tasks are being very disk intensive? What drive are you booting from? Is it a HDD or SSD?
