How exactly do i take advantage of that 3.6 Ghz boost while gaming? I feel like it's too hot but im lacking ideas for cooling my laptop down while gaming.

1)Your cpu not running in 3.6ghz while gaming?
2)When you are playing game then minimize your game, open nitrosense check temperature and tell me

    1) It's locked at the base clock speed, which is 2.0 GHz.
    2) I've bench marked this before on CPU intensive games like Team Fortress 2 and Garry's mod. They don't require a not too powerful GPU and while using RivaTunner and Msi afterburner to benchmark, while checking, it's locked to 2 GHz, never goes up nor down in game. The temperatures are usually 60' c to 70 c while just doing regular browsing and reach up to 70 to at least 91 c while playing a match, the thing is though, while in the menu, i can see it spike up to 2.6 Ghz but in game as i said, it's at a 2.0 GHz lock. It stays like that in-game.

( Note that i use a cooling pad along side with two Moniters that output 1650p while the laptop's screen is down. One monitor connected via HDMI on the laptop, and the other one connected via HDMI on my USB Hub. )

Set high performance powerPlan in nitrosense set in both AC and Battery
After doing above steps play your game and check ghz in task manager

It's was set to those preferences during benchmark and during regular use before the benchmark.

Right click on battery icon in taskbar→power option→then click on change plan settings (The right side of the high performance powerplan)→change advanced settings→expand processor power management
Now, expand minimum processor state and set 100% on plugged in
Again, expand maximum processor state and set 100% on plugged in

    Now apply→ok→play your game

I actually did this before you sent this, i had better results when the Maximum processor state was set to 0% ( unlimited ) because it spiked up to 2600Mhz but only in the menu before setting it to 100%, which has it locked at 2 Ghz no matter where i was in the game. I've pretty much tried a lot of solutions up until this point.

Yup, everything's fine and dandy as for set up, pulled in, performance is set to high all the time, cooling pad for hope, clear airflow, system is up to date ( The bios update was the only thing that ever gave me a performance boost up until this point ) i'm just never sure on why my CPU only runs at base clock and never hits the 3.6 GHz boost. Is this is a temperature problem?

GAMING6698 Okay well it seems you're out of ideas, which completely blows on my end since i'm hurting my head over this. Anyone else mind take a gander at this dilemma? PLEASEEEEE

Wow turbo is lower than base clock, there is something wrong with the cpu...

Both ram sticks are running at different clock speeds, maybe this causes the issue. Remove one module and run the test again.

Yikes?! That's werid, it hit's over 2000mhz time to time, sometimes when just browsing or doing regular computing.

https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/27791615 it made a difference, went from 1.8 Ghz to 2.35 Ghz which is exetremely promising.

While benchmarking tf2, the cpu didn't really hit high, but i kind of expected it since i made modifications to the game myself for performance, but ayo! Performance is alot more stable and the removal of the stick also removed the annoying "stuttering while looking fast" issue i had on the game before, i tried running at higher qualities than i had it set to, and it ran smooth like butter. Thank you for figuring out this problem i had for a LONG TIME, THANK YOU!!!

You can sell the PNY 8GBU1X08JGGG39-12-K one and buy another Adata AO1P26KC8T1-BPXS in order to have two of the same specs and manufacturer.
