Greetings Acer Community! Hope you have a lovely day for you who are reading this ✨
Right, I have a question. I just bought this Acer Swift 3 (SF31454G) laptop in February 2019. And I realised that this laptop is quite hot sometimes. There are 3 conditions that will be explained further below:
I detect my laptop temperature using HW Monitor.
1. Browsing the web. Googling and watching YouTube videos. Playing music from Spotify. Do some school work on Microsoft Word. Basically, basic stuffs. The temperature can be range from 50°C to 60°C. Sometimes it can be 62°C to 65°C. All and all, the temperature will go 60
°C.
2. Charging. The temperature of the laptop will rise up to 70°C until 80°C and never go beyond 90°C. But if I'm Skyping and charging at the same time, the temperature will go up until 90°C. But never surpasses 100°C. However, the typical usages like I stated in (1) while charging, the highest temperature will be around 80°C and above but never went up until 90°C. The highest will be 88
°C. I read once in the manual that it is normal for laptop to heat up while charging.
Right now, the temperature is 60°C to 68
°C. And I'm currently opening Microsoft Edge to browse this web, sticky notes app, settings and HW Monitor.
One question, is this normal? I read up a lot on the internet about laptop temperatures but those information were years ago. It's not comparable with my new 2019 laptop. From what I read, laptop nowadays are fine as long as the temperature doesn't exceeds 100°C. But I am not convinced. Is my laptop temperature normal? Can somebody explain to me the normal temperature for this laptop with 8th Gen Intel® Core i5™ Processor and
NVIDIA®
GeForce® MX150.
I will insert the print screen of HW Monitor along with this question.
Thank you in advance.
