USB/HDMI Hub not connecting to second monitor (Aspire Acer E5-575g Signature Edition)

Hello,

I have an Aspire Acer E5-575g Signature Edition.

I purchased a USB-C hub and while all the USB ports are working on it, the HDMI port is not connecting/recognizing my 2nd monitor.

The 2nd monitor works fine when the HDMI cable is plugged directly into my HDMI port. I have tried a different HDMI cable and that did not work. I've updated all drivers.

Thank you for any help you can give me!

    Have you tried
    1. Click the Start button and select Control Panel.
    2. Click Appearance and Personalization, then click Display.
    3. Click the Resolution or Adjust Resolution option from the left column.
    4. Expand the drop-down menu next to “Multiple displays” and select Duplicate these Displays.
    5. Click OK to apply the changes and close the window.

    Yes, I've tried that.

Did you try going to intel's graphics control panel, and try to identify both displays?

Also try to go to Device manager, and see if it picks up that you have an hdmi cable plugged in.
