I have purchased an Acer Swift 1 laptop and the built-in microphone doesn't work, I enabled it various times and still nothing. Can someone please help me how to fix this problem, if its fixable...

@LilkoValencia which model of Swift 1 do you have? Which apps are you trying to use with the Mic? Does it show up in Device Manager?

I've  a similar problem my Swift 1 Model Name: SF114-32.  When I connect an external speaker to the single "combo" port (that allows you to use single-pin headsets with a built-in microphone)) the speaker works fine but the internal microphones seem to stop working.  Is this normal or is some setting incorrect?

Windows should come up with a question about the device you plugged in. IIRC it defaults to headset though, so it's assuming there's a mic in the headphones. You can tell the system to use the internal mic while they are plugged in or tell the system those are just speakers instead of a headset.

Thanks, billsey. When I plug the speaker in 'Speaker out' tab comes up and I click OK.  Then went to 'Sound settings' and found input device was not set to 'Microphone Array'. Changed it to MA and ran test and it worked. Clicked your message 'Like' because I couldn't see 'Yes' !

Yeah, no Yes for you, since you didn't start the thread. :)

Wondered if that was the reason. Thanks for confirming.
