My keyboard will act erratically very often- for example it will start running backwards so everything I type comes out backwards or it will always return to the beginning of the sentence and when I click on something it will click hundreds of times in an endless loop. I have adjusted my sensitivity and its not that

Hi,
Go to Device Manager, expand Keyboards, right-click Standard PS/2 keyboard, select Properties and uninstall the driver in Driver tab, reboot and let Windows install the driver.0 -

Is the erratic mouse also an external USB or BT. Or is this an erratic touchpad as well? Jack E/NJ

(1) About when did you notice this erratic behavior? A few days ago? A week? A month?(2) What is your full E15 model number E5-5xx?(3) Press Win+R. Enter 'mrt'. Follow directions to do a malicious software scan of your machine.Jack E/NJ

Let us know the result of the MRT scan. It may take a few hours to complete. Jack E/NJ

Sorry, this seems like a hardware issue. You must first check and reseat the KB ribbon cable connector to the mainboard. It might be accessible by removing the HDD door but more likely the bottom cover must be removed. Jack E/NJ
