I am trying to get my son's Aspire V7-582P running. It would boot quickly, but then ran very slowly. I bought an SSD to replace the HDD in the system. I created a recovery USB to install the new drive, but it will not install.

I attempted using Windows Media Creation to install the new drive, but the bios still shows me the old HDD partitions. I attempted to order recovery media, but it is no longer available due to the age of the device. Is there anyway I can get recovery media for this system?

When I try to boot now the computer gives me a blue screen and tries to repair, which fails as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The BIOS menu should not show partitions, even the new SSD. Press and hold the power button till the machine completely shuts off. Then press & hold the F2 key. The press the power button to turn the machine back on. The BIOS menu should appear. If possible, please post a phone photo of the BIOS Information and Boot tabs. Jack E/NJ

Thanks for getting back JackE. I found out someone had tried to clone the bad drive. I have since formatted the new drive installed Windows 8.1 and am now upgrading to Windows 10. I have installed Belarc Advisor as well so we can download the proper drivers. Again, thanks for trying to help me!
