I have an acer aspire TC-705 and I want to upgrade its ram. Right now I have put in a new power supply corsair CX 450 and a new grafics card geforce gtx 1660 ti. But I am not sure what ram would work with my pc.

    Hello @YuCihMi

For your TC-705, you must first check to see what voltage your existing ram is.   Sometimes Acer installed DDR3 1.5V in your model.  Sometimes Acer installed DDR3L 1.35V in your model.

Most people use a little program called CPU-Z to determine their existing ram specs.

    You could also use HWINFO64

I have the same mainboard as you.  My mainboard came with DDR3 1.5V so I just bought the DDR3 1.5V from link below.  The link below has both 1.35V and 1.5V.  So you can choose whichever you need.  The ram specs are also listed in link below.

Your mainboard doesn't like it if you mix 1.35V with 1.5V or vice versa.   It runs great at either voltage, but the sticks of ram must be the same voltage.  Now you might be thinking...."Isn't DDR3L 1.35V supposed to run at either 1.35V or 1.5V?"  In theory it shouldn't matter, but on your mainboard, it matters that both sticks of ram are same voltage.  You can install two sticks of DDR3L 1.35V.  You can install two sticks of DDR3 1.5V.   But you can't install one stick of DDR3 1.5V and one stick of DDR3L 1.35V.

Your desktop doesn't support XMP profiles.
    I'm not an Acer employee.
