I was bothered why acer didnt make the 2 fans an aeroblade (Metal one), so the gpu only receives the advantage but the question is, can we buy or replace the plastic cpu fan with aeroblade fan? If it is possible, will the max rpm of it will be the same to the gpu fan in the configured settings of predator sense? Btw i have the ph315-52 (2019) and i just think of the possibility that metal cpu fan is definitely worth it

If you can get an AeroBlade (Metal one) then go for it but, I wonder if you can get it? As I haven't seen any, they are all made of ABS.

Actually someone from the member of the Acer predator group in FB do some intensive research and found a very interesting results. It turns out that the aeroblade fan of acer is in the name and code of :

    Delta DC005V 0.50A NS85C06-17K14

https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32964611112.html here is the link, unfortunately i can't get it because shipment from our country is closed but 99% said that it's the aeroblade fan.

I hope that someone in this grp will try to test out if it can be a possible upgrade in our cpu fans

yes you can put the metal fan in place of the plastic cpu fan i had acer send me replacements for mine and i took the one that was starting that rattle noise and put it on the cpu after i oiled it and works ten times better

I have made an intensive research on it long the years of having one and the parts exists. But:

1: they are rare but useful. Direct swap from the factory plastic ones.
2: been told the replacements just shipped normally to US. After 1st year of model release they don't ship you outside. Similar what happens the same with the free bay for the HDD. Not free outside us.
3: Several pro users in forums shared feelings; temps are 5 -- 10 degrees better on average. Adittionally are more silent. Mainly, because the design is more efficient. The blade shapes and distribution is different than the plastic. Apart of the metal material ofc ;)
4 - As far i know they exist in the PH317-51 (The 2018, 17'' edition). Not sure about all the other models though.
5 - What i am not sure if the efficiency comes from two aeroblades together or just one as is the original design in some models.

This thing is a rare improvement tweak not many people knows about the Helios 300. Sure is improves performance from the standard.

I have played around with both model blades on my 315-51 15", unit originally with 2x aero metal, but i went ahead with try`out plastics after CPU aero started pulse-vibrating at high rpm. Then i played around with all of them out of curiosity. I did hear some models only kept one metal for costs, i bet it was the CPU.

Both metal much better but CPU one is the important one
GPU replacing with plastic is less of a downside, maybe +5C in heavy games. I high at 80-85.
CPU will get hotter at full power with plastic. aero 86-90 while plastic 95+ tt.
Plastic one is more dust prone as well, thicker blades & circle reinforcer of blades just makes it worst. And CPU fan usually spins more than GPU.

Despite the pulse-vibration of my "refurbished" metal, adding some heat res vaseline inside, i keep the aero over the plastic non-vibrating one. I think vibrations make the paste travel on die in time, i re-paste often enough to counter that. Hopefully they don`t affect the electronic parts.

Bottom line: bad metal aero much better for temps and everything else over plastic
