Good day to all.

I know this Laptop is very old, but I'm trying to save it because the owner for the moment doesn't have resources to adquire a new one.
I'm having some issues reflashing the BIOS from an Aspire 5750. The BIOS had password and nobody knew it.
The only solution that I've found in the web is reflashing and updating the BIOS; followed the steps but the laptop stills death, I meant, putting an USB stick, FAT32, put the files from the folder DOS in the root of the USB Flash Unit. The BIOS was downloaded from the ACER download site.
Pressing ESC+FN > plug in the AC adapter holding ESC+FN > press the power button for 1 sec > then release ESC+FN. All this made with the USB flash unit plugged.
According to the instructions, short after release the ESC+FN keys, the BIOS have to load up and show the ACER word in the screen, but none of this happens. Only black screen and the cpu's fan works all the time since the power button is pressed.

The laptop doesn't have an OS.

I would like to ask for some help because I ran out of ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.
