    Sure, most webcams will work just fine. They typically plug into a USB port for both the video and mic functions, but I recently found one that used both the USB port and a mic port to do that. IIRC I have a Logitech on my desktop, their rectangular 1080P version.

    Sure, do you mean a camera like a photographer or videographer would use to transfer data, or a web camera for using programs like Zoom and Skype?

    I mean a web camera. (Thank you for responding--but with a question!!-- have only just seen this response, and am still enquiring)

    Thank you.  It has not worked in a USB port at the front, (next to my mike socket) but I'll explore and experiment. (I'm sorry it took me  3 days to spot this second reply--better than the first!  But for some of us, amateurs, even logging in to Acer is a special act!)

    When I run into text that's too small to read, I take a picture with my phone, then expand the image until it's big enough. :)If the camera isn't working in one of the front ports, the port might have come loose inside. Those usually have wires that go back and connect to the MB. The ones on the back are soldered directly in.
