Hi! I recently installed droidcam to use my phone as a webcam and everything was ok till today. I've tried to change the source from droidcam to my inner webcam, but I couldn't find it (skype, discord etc.) I've deleted the droidcam cos I thought the problem may be in this soft. After this I can't find "Image processing devices" in the "device manager". When I launch stock app called "camera" (win10) I see a message "couldn't find your webcam" and error code is 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached>. Before launching my laptop (yesterday the cam probably have worked, I dunno, but some time ago I was speaking using discord and I could see both webcam and droidcam in the sources) I wiped the laptop's frame with a wet wipe and I also wiped the camera. Maybe it is the problem? I don't think that water could leak in the cam. Maybe I should install some drivers? Help me, please. I have to go online today cos I'm a student and I have to use my webcam.

    • Click on window icon Camera app and right click on the camera app result
    • Under right-click context menu select App settings
    • Under camera app settings, scroll and locate & hit the reset buttonWindows 10 Camera Settings Reset
    • Confirm your action by selecting the reset button and again
After doing above steps make sure you give permission go to settings and click on the Privacy category. Select Camera under the App permissions section on the left. On the right panel, you have to turn on the setting “Allow apps to access your camera“. Scroll down to locate the Camera app and grant permission for it to access the webcam.

That’s it. Now check and see if Windows 10 Camera app is working.

Click on yes if problem solved

It didn't help and I don't think that the problem is in droidcam, because I remember the previous time I used my webcam I could choose between inner webcam and droidcam

@EugenySolovev registry edit might be among the best fixes. Edit the registry as follows.
    1. First, open Run with the Windows key + R hotkey. Then users can open the Registry Editor by entering regedt in Run and clicking OK.
    2. Open this registry path in the Registry Editor:
      • <strong>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWOW6432NodeMicrosoftWindows Media Foundation</strong>windows media foundation regedit error code 0xa00f4271
    3. Double-click Windows Media Foundation on the left of the Registry Editor.
    4. Right-click a space on the right of the Registry Editor’s window and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
    5. Enter EnableFrameServerMode as the title for the new DWORD.enableframeservermode dword error code 0xa00f4271
    6. Then double-click EnableFrameServerMode to open the window in the shot directly below.value data error code 0xa00f4271
    7. Input 0 in the Data value text box, and click the OK button.
    8. Restart Windows after editing the registry AND CHECK

Aaaand...cam not found! I've managed to turn on hidden devices in the settings and the cam was there, but all I got was "Now this device is not connected to the computer (code 45)." All drivers are installed. (By the way, what is the "date of last deletion" in the information? It says that this is the evening of the 10th). One guy from microsoft support suggested deleting the cam from the device manager and so I did and rebooted the laptop, but it hasn't appeared lmao. If I reinstall windows, will it work? I haven't done anything with the cam physically cos I am very neat

Eugeny, any luck?  Many many people have the disappearing from device manager problem (look under your USB devices for one with a failed descriptor).  I think this is a software/driver problem, not a hardware problem.  Acer can't answer what driver is used by their cameras and can't provide replacements, they seem to be totally clueless.

BradSpin3, hi! My laptop is still under warranty until July, so I'll take it to the repair center. I l've tried installing different drivers/programs, but it didn't work. It's definitely not a hardware problem as far as I'm really careful. I use an app which can turn my phone into a webcam. I guess you should use smth like that if you also have webcam problems, but you can't buy an external one.
