Hi, I'm getting error message - 0xA00F4244 (nocameraareattached)

The camera was working fine before this happened. I uninstalled and reinstalled the webcam drivers. I've also turned off antivirus and tried every step I can find online. I've tried everything I can think of.

I can not find where the drivers for the webcam is on this site. I was thinking maybe I could roll back to a previous driver and see if that worked.

Some more info. When I click on details in device manager this is the message - 'Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.'

Any help with this would be great. Thanks.

I wonder if the issue is hardware, could you have had enough of a jolt to the system to break the little cable that runs between the camera and MB, or maybe pull ne end loose? Are you still in warranty?

I have an extended warranty. I have not dropped the laptop or anything like that. So, I don't know what's changed.

Bumping this for help. I tried a system reset today and the issue still persists.

I'm I looking at a hardware issue? That would be strange as I have not damaged the laptop in any way.

I'm having the same issue, my laptop (Swift SF315-41) is barely used and I really don't think it would be a hardware issue. It seems quite a few people are having this problem from various threads?

That interesting, I did not know others were having the same issue. I ended having to buy an external webcam. I never got a fix for it. Please let me know if you find a solution! Thanks.
