Recently bought a A315-21-927W with the 1TB HDD. Tore it apart, put in a SSD, clone the operating system, and everything was going great. Restarted a couple times, everything seemed to be fine. Let it sit for a week. At that point, installed some bigger ram, went to boot up, and nothing. Blue power light comes on, but there is nothing on the screen. Screen doesn't even act like it's powered up. Anybody experienced this before?

Stick is inserted good. Laptop had 6GB total ram initially. 4GB on board, and a replaceable 2GB stick. I just replaced the 2 stick with an 8 stick. Even if it was a dead stick, it should still recognize the on board 4 and boot I would think.?.

Update. Pulled out the new stick, inserted the original 2GB stick, same thing, dead. Pulled out the original stick, leaving only the onboard 4GB, and it booted fine. Could the slot have gone bad? Why would it not boot if so? Slot looks to be in good shape from what I can tell.

Anybody have any thoughts on what might be happening with the slot, or do I need to send it back?
