Acer Predator Helios 300 Purchase Options

I've been researching laptops and the Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-710B looks like a good alternative to the Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Gaming that I've been considering. Amazon reviews for the Predator are a bit sketchy with everything from complaints of locked BIOS settings to dead computers and sketchy customer service. I thought I'd purchase directly from Acer but the link on the Acer site is just going back to Amazon. I don't want to settle for a crippled laptop and inferior customer service just because I purchased from Amazon. Should I be concerned?

@ybysaiah I bought my Helios 300 directly from Amazon in October last year, and it's been absolutely rock solid since then. It's a great laptop and I don't think you'll regret getting one.0
