Thank you so much my CPU temps were super high (i5 8300H) but with the profile it reduced about 20-30 degrees. However I do have a question, before I noticed that my frequency (when gaming) was stable at 3.8Ghz and it was super hot (thermal throttling) and when I reduced the max CPU usage in the powerplan setting it became capped at 2.4 GHZ. While using your profile I noticed it got capped at around 3.4 GHZ, if I raise that Cap could I get a better performance and still lower temps or would it change something big in the profile?

Hello, I have been experiencing some issues with high temperature on my GPU while playing on a Predator Helios 300 (GTX1060/i7-7700HQ). My temps used to reach about 90-95°C while playing DBD and BL3.

I changed my thermal paste to Arctic MX4 and later to Kryonaut  (currently using this one ) and was seeing temperatures about 85°C (always with fans on Max while playing). Was a bit bothered by this so decided to check Throttlestop, and have been using the Profile linked on the first post. The issue now is that I am seeing BSOD (not always while playing) for the last 3 days with different messages, the ones I wrote down were:

    - System Service Exception (win32kbase.sys)
After this one I ran sfc /scannow and DISM.exe
    - system_thread_exception_not_handled (nvlddmkm.sys)
After this one used DDU to remove drivers of my Nvidia card and installed old drivers (from January 2020)
    - system_thread_exception_not_handled (dxgmms2.sys)
This is the last error that appeared tonight and havent done anything yet.

My setup is Laptop on wood table with cooling pad underneath, USB hub connected with external KB/Mouse and Headphones. External HDD connected on port USB C 3.0, and external monitor on the HDMI. Last night I followed the youtube guide to optimize Windows 10, and today I was getting temperatures around 80°C on RE:Resistance and DBD

Not sure what else to try for now. Thinking on just removing Throttlestop in case that the issue is with the underclocking. Any recommendations or things to check?

*For now I changed the CPU Core/Cache to -120.1mV to see if I encounter another BSOD.

Blauzin thats the qhole point of undervolting capping the cpu but not disabling turbo boost you dont need the cpu to boost at max to play games you wont get any performance from it just thermal throtling

@Red-Sand Good day mate. Do you already have a profile for i5 9300H?  Bought my first ever laptop a week ago. Helios 300. Been watching videos on how to undervolt, a lot of people say throttlestop is the best however I find it really difficult to use just by watching those tutorials :(

Yeah that makes sense. Was just wondering if undervolting could cause the BSOD messages that I have been seeing or if something else may be the culprit. Just worried that I may have donde some irreparable damage on my gpu

Ok so I've repasted again cpu and gpu with kryonaut. as i ran out of TG, so i put NT-NH1 on the place where the pink paste was.
Also noticed i have an Intel XTU Service running in the backround.. No idea why as i never installed it, disabled it.
This is the results with TS Profile on while playing Doom and Doom Eternal for 2 and a half hours. Room Temp about 22c-24c, all fans on auto (H300/i7 9750H/1660 Ti).

I fixed the problem i had. I want to ask about the higher tdp. Is it safe with higher value/ won't it generate more heat?
I have the same situation with you on my 9750h not hitting 3.6ghz while playing and just 2.9, How did you fixed this? Can you share how what did you do since Ive been tweaking in the settings for hours and doesnt change the scenario at all. And also tried stress testing on Aida64 for 30 minutes, it on stays at 3.1/3.0ghz

I've compiled a bundle of ThrottleStop configurations for various CPU types.
Each of these downloads are specific to the CPU listed and come pre-setup to optimum undervolt, Speed Shift EPP, power limits and other various tweaks.

Each setup has energy governance for while plugged in and on battery:
Profiles will automatically switch between AC and battery profiles when you plug or unplug your laptop.

Since the Nvidia GPU switches to "Powermizer" mode while on battery, the battery CPU profiles were adjusted accordingly to maintain proper performance and battery efficiency.

Note: Nothing negative can happen to your system from using these configurations.
At worst case - Your laptop will reboot but no damage would have been done (I have yet to see this happen from my files)
These configurations can be used even if your Predator Sense has undervolting built in.

These profiles may cause certain games to lose a few FPS but drop temperatures variably between 5-20 C.

    **DISCLAIMER**
While I have tested these profiles extensively, that doesn't guarantee that your system will accept it without issue.
Variables such as tweaks you've imposed yourself could cause conflicts with unknown effects.
    Please proceed with caution.

    How to use these files:
    1. Simply download (& extract if required) the folder signatured with the same CPU you have in your system and place it in "My Documents"
    2. Open the folder and run the "Throttlestop.exe" and you're done. (Yes really it's that simple)

    i5-7300HQ
    i7-7700HQ
    i5-8300Hi7-8750Hi5-9300H (Coming Soon)
In progress (I do not have a system with this CPU at this time to test)
    i7-9750H

How to set Throttlestop to auto startup at boot

Once you have tested thoroughly the Throttlestop configurations you've downloaded (And by thoroughly I mean HOURS of gaming or high productivity use) you can set Throttlestop to automatically start at system boot up by following this guide to create a task schedule. I have yet to see any issues arise from using my setups.

    Enjoy!
Now using your i7 9750h profile, happy how the temperature well above 85 degrees now dropped to 74 degrees peak with aida64 stress test 30 minutes. However, in games I am only stuck at 2.9ghz and fluctuating below it. On stress test, its only at 3.0/3.1ghz max. Given that the ratio at 6 cores active has 36, any hints whats wrong with mine and how to solve this?

My cpu temperature still hits at peak 97 but usually at 95 degrees when on your throttlestop-setting ! although it's smoother than the old setting my brother set for me,.. Still, too hot to use ! can you suggest me what I should do or what is wrong with my computer ?

koiolg1234 if you already optimized windows properly and ts its not working repasting its your only solution here either with kryonaut or similar if u can without voiding your warranty or contact acer to get it repasted cpu shouldnt go above 85ísh and 70/75 gpu max

ZYuriX I reduced the speedshift from 114 to 104. However unlike you i was hitting 3.6 on stress tests but not in games on 114.

As far as im aware aware nope  (unless it's something really recent) the only update ms did on 1909 was to lock/make 2 cores only to work always on max turbo boost even in Idle causing high temps and parking the remaining ones to use only when  needed  that's the current situation without any fix so far

I've seen a various topics on Dell and HP forums that because of Intel's security security vulnerability aka "Plundervolt" , and what they did is locking the Undervolt option as they can't fix their issues otherwise and they claim it is fixable by locking the Undervolt feature. And it seems they are pushing this through windows updates as stated on the Dell and the HP Forums.
Just wanted to see if anyone is affected on acer side as well. At the moment on my side everything works fine. I wonder if Acer users will receive that as well..

Many thanks!!!! Now, in downtime mode, my laptop has stopped making noises of 40 degrees (it was 75).
But in games that are still 89-93 degrees and the eerie noise, so was before (e.g. Modern warfare, ultra-settings), falling fps I do not watch z110 fps.
I was thinking about getting rid of my laptop, which I bought 3 months ago.
It was a bad idea, there are no laptops on the market that could be used for games with comfort.
