I only have one SSD drive and it is in an array where it is looking for 2 drives. It says it's degraded and I don't know how to get ride of the array.

    Perform this steps first:
    1. Click the Start Button and type cmd
    2. Right-click the result and select Run as administrator
    3. Type this command and press ENTER: bcdedit /set {current} safeboot minimal (ALT: bcdedit /set safeboot minimal)
    4. Restart the computer and enter BIOS Setup
    5. Change the SATA Operation mode to AHCI from either IDE or RAID. Only if no option in BIOS present - Go to BIOS screen, move to Main tab, press Ctrl+S buttons together, press F10 to save and exit, AHCI option should be available in Main tab.
    6. Save changes and exit Setup and Windows will automatically boot to Safe Mode.
    7. Right-click the Windows Start Menu once more. Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
    8. Type this command and press ENTER: bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot (ALT: bcdedit /deletevalue safeboot)
    9. Reboot once more and Windows will automatically start in AHCI Mode
    10. You can uninstall intel RST                                                                                                       Please click Yes if I have answered your question

Sorry, but that doesn`t make any sense. How it is possible to have only one drive in an array?

Not sure but that is the way it is. I tried to install another drive to see if that would fix it but it didn't so I removed that drive. I have included a screen shot of the array. the computer is new and the only other drive that has been put in it was the one I install and removed after this issue came up.

Thank you batmalin! I now have it set to AHCI Mode. Do I need to use RAID with a NVMe SSD or can I just leave it in AHCI Mode? I would like to add another SSD just for the extra space.

You are welcome. No you don`t need raid you can leave it in AHCI mode and you will have no problems at all.
