Laptop camera is not working

Hello, I'm sorry for bothering you but when I checked the camera this morning it wasn't working again. Is there anything that I could do to fix it? The HD Webcam in the device manager is not there again.

Just go to device manager→click on your desktop name→action→scan of hardware changes-restart system

I did those steps. I did camera rest and troubleshoot and restarted the laptop but it didn't work. Is there a permanent fix like installing a software or something as the problem appears the next day?

@pavan12 make sure window is updated.
Acer doesn't provide webcam driver
Add webcam manually in device manager

@pavan12Check if your webcam is on

Add Imaging Devices Manually

Hold the Windows Key and Press R.
Type hdwwiz.cpl and Click OK
Click Action and choose Add Legacy Hardware
Click Next, and choose “Install the hardware that i manually select from the list” and click Next, scroll down to choose Imaging Devices and Click Next.
Locate the missing device through the manufacturer’s tab and add it

I tried that but the camera doesn't work and there is this problem here and I am not sure what it is.

I installed all the hardware that was listed and it shows this now.

@pavan12 you didn't tell usb boot showing.
Right click on usb boot and uninstall. Then scan for hardware changes and restart system.

I just did that and after I restart the system the USB Boot comes back again

I can't click on the rollback driver option.

@pavan12 i check in my device manager HD webcam and your usb boot both are same version,same driver date.
Rename this device to Hd webcam again it will solve your issue

Oh yes, it works now but I didn't rename anything. What about the hardware that I installed there is an exclamation mark next to it?

@pavan12 it may be because you add many imaging device. Some are not in use showing this mark and some working.
If problem occur again comment and i will tell you how to rename

Right click on usb boot then disable it
Restart system and check
