According many sourses the best 2.5` SATA SSD is  Samsung 860 EVO and  for the m2 NVMe I recommend Samsung 970 EVO Plus.

    What do you want?
M.2 Form factor or 2.5" SATA. If you're not sure about that either, I would suggest M.2, as that will help you retain whatever storage that is already on your HDD.
2.5" SATA - WD Green 500GB SSDs are the cheapest in the market, quite reliable too. In SATA SSDs, speeds are already limited, so there is no point in investing
2.5" SATA -Once again, I stick to WD Green.
M.2 NVMe - I would opt for the Intel 660p 500GB SSDs, they're one of the cheapest in the market and also offer TLC instead of QLC like some unreliable SSDs. And it is Intel, so you don't need to question the reliability.
Samsung and Kingston make quite expensive ones, but obviously they are basically "Ultimate" in terms of quality and speed.

Well it is a good drive but I am not fan of SSHD in general, if it is used just for storage is fine.
