Have Emachine E211H monitor. It is connected to a laptop. At startup, a white vertical bar near the center of the screen is visible. The laptop screen does not display the bar. Tryed pressing the reset button on the monitor but that did not help.

What do I do now?

    You will want to attempt using the monitor on another system to see if the vertical line follows the monitor or only when conencted to the one computer.

     

    If it follows the monitor, there is a problem with the display.

    I just got and posted a similar problem with my ACER P215H.  I forgot to add, that my computer is an eMachines ET1331G which is similar to this case.  Everything works as it should, except for this thin line.  I tried a prt scrn to see if it came in the copy.  It did not.

     

    I do not have other computer to test the display except for laptops, iPads, etc.  Is there any other way to test the monitor?
