Hi
i m using the acer aspire v15 v5-591G
cpu : i5 6300 hq
gpu : intel hd graphics 530 & gtx 950m
ram : kingston 8gb 1rx8 pc4 2400r sa1 11 (works perfectly )
lately i tried to upgrade my memory i used another module: kingston 16gb 2rx8 pc4 2400t se1 11 and since then i kept getting bsod with different errors and more frequently the memory management one.
i updated all my drivers and checked almost every solution out there and still have the same issue. i ran the memory test for each module and no problems detected.
please can you tell me if this new memory stick i m trying to install is compatible with my laptop or i m just wasting time here.

Your model supports dual channel DDR4 modules which can often be a bit touchy with unmatched modules, especially modules with different capacities. You might be better off with  a pair of identical, preferrably matched 8GB or 16GB modules instead. Jack E/NJ

This is NOT a matched pair. Your 8GB module seems to be single-ranked 1X8GB module and unless paired with an identical single-ranked module, anything can happen. Your 16GB seems to be a dual-ranked 2X8GB module and might  be faulty.

Go to this link for your model https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/aspire-v5-591g. You'll see how modules are usually paired up/matched  as a kit for this machine. Crucial is Micron. They're quite competitive with other brands and guarantee what they recommend will work no questions asked.

Sorry i meant by this that i used different modules of 16 gb , after the first one caused the problems i changed but still i got same problems.
About the website you gave me , i can t afford to buy another 16 gb ram right now so either i have to fix this issues or i just keep using the 8 gb module.

    (1) Does either one of the 16GB modules work by itself OK in either one of the two RAM sockets?
    (2) Does the original 8GB module work by itself in one or the other RAM  socket?

Can you give us a caption of your GPUz "Memory and SPD Slot #1 & #3" of both your OEM 8GB 1Rx8 PC4 2400R SA1 11 RAM (that works) and the new 8GB 1Rx8 PC4 2400R SA1 11, as there could be incompatibility issues within the 8GB OEM and the new 8GB module or the new module could be faulty. Also do what "JackE" suggested and "(2) Does the original 8GB module work by itself in one or the other RAM  socket?" as your other socket could be faulty. This is very unusual as there is no magic fix, if one of these modules is faulty. or the socket is faulty too.

    1) none of them worked fine they both caused errors in both sockets.
    2) yes the original works well in both sockets.

    @StevenGen

the 8 gb is the my OEM and it works fine in both sockets.
i m using now with both modules so i could take the captions at the same time.

As earlier suggested, the DDR4 dual channel can be bleeding-edge finicky. From your experiments with the sockets, I don't think there's anything wrong with your machine. The 8GB module that works seems to be of Micron origin, whereas the 16GB SKHynix.  You'll probably waste a lot more time trying to make the two 16GB modules work. You have two options.

    (1) If you haven't done so already, you could risk a BIOS update https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/6456?b=1
    (2) You could bite the bullet and get a matched set from Crucial (Micron origin). https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/aspire-v5-591g.

If it was mine, I'd choose #2.
