I Bought the Acer T231H touchscreen monitor to use on Windows 8, which was working fine until the retail version came out and now it don't work. Had a search around and found lots of people having the same problem. Acer support drivers only cover upto Windows 7 64, is there going to be one for 8 64 or anyone know of a fix.Cat Sad

Thanks

Brian

That monitor is a 2010 model I think (drivers show 2010 date), I'm not sure updated drivers for Windows 8 are at the top of their list for the unit. I would suggest, if it's still in warranty, to call in and report it so some feedback could get submitted and it might get updated.

Have you tried to reinstall the windwos 7 drivers? Sometimes that works.

The system won't let you install windows 7 drivers.  It just tells you your operating system is not compatible.  I just bought this monitor yesterday, specifically to use it with Windows 8.  What the hell am I supposed to do now?  I don't know whether to be **** off at Microsoft or Acer, or both.  I don't want all the Metro ***** anyway, and I have installed Classic Shell to make the desktop usable again, but sometimes Metro rears its ugly head and there is no way out but to use a mouse or touchpad.  This is completely unacceptable.  Ok, Acer, are you going to fix this or is your tech support as nonexistent as I remember it from years ago?

I'm having the same problem, which is a joke seeing as Acer are trying to sell you the Windows 8 upgrade on almost every page on their websit.

The touchscreen no longer works with Windows 7 64 either due to unsigned driver! what a joke, come on Acer sort this out!!

Don't waste your time with the so called latest, very old drivers from the download link as they don't work Smiley Mad

    Good day

That model works well on Windows 7 and Windows 8. Just dont forget to connect your USB cable from monitor to computer for the touch to work.

Of course the USB cable is connected, always has been. Like I said It 'DOES NOT' work on Windows 8, or Windows 7 (after latest updates)

    Good day

Mine are working fine. I have 4 of this monitors in my house, 1 machine runs Windows 7 and 3 others Windows 8 with the latest updates. Is there anyone experiencing the same problem with this model, because mine are working.

    Regards,

I have already sent to highpoint thru my cousin who works in sen q. but when i got it back, the problem persist. i understand that it there is no such thing as win 7 driver for the touch input usb. It is automatically installed by win 7.

I hope somebody from acer reply to this thread. i think lotsa people is having this kinda problem. Can i get a refund for this fault?
