Acercloud remote files

I've registered on Acercloud and set one of my PCs as the cloud PC. Using the ipad and iphone apps I can view the entire directory structure on the cloud pc and open files on it but don't seem to be able to do this from another PC which has the Acercloud software on it. Only one PC is set as the cloud PC so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. The online product support doesn't really give any clues.

From the sounds of it, you have enabled pictures and documents, but you may not have enabled 'other devices'. Go into cloud from your home computer and look at enabling other devices.

    And another thought -

Does your home computer need to be on and not in sleep mode?

Thanks for the replies. I only want to use Acercloud to access files on the "cloud PC" so I made sure I enabled the remote files access and as in my original post can see all available files from an iPhone or an iPad I just need to know how to access them from another laptop. I have the Acer cloud software installed on the laptop and have "Remote files" ticked but I don't see any way of actually accessing anything. If I double-click the icon it simply disables/enables the tick switch.

I would ask Acer directly but my serial number and SNID are rejected as invalid when I enter them onto the form even tough they've been copy/pasted from the Acer system info tool.

    Paraphrased from Product Support:

Your Cloud PC must be ON and connected to Internet. (If Internet setting is Always Connect, your Cloud PC may be in sleep mode, but must be connected to power supply, (not battery power)).  [??? This last part dosen't seem logical to me.]

Note that you don't need your SN to get info. Go to acer.custhelp.com and search for Acercloud. Lots of articles to read to see if a solution is found.

PS: As best I can figure out Acercloud stores the files on what they call your Cloud PC. Your files are not stored on the internet. You are basically sharing files stored on your PC  with other permitted devices. Sort of a substitute for file sharing on your own LAN.   Whereas the MS Skydrive stores your files on the Internet.

I have confirmed with AcerCloud customer service staff just now, they told me that "Remote Files" app does not support access permission of PC to PC except for win 8 user interface.

I think it means win 8 user interface, which is defined as mobile device's platform, should be able to view the entire directory structure and open files on the cloud pc just like the ipad and iphone do this.

So it is unallowable to view the cloud PC if you change the operating system to win desktop. I recommended that perhaps you can use this function on Win 8 UI for a try.
