    Hello,

Triton 500 i7-9750h 2060 here, I've installed throttle stop using the directions you provided but I have noticed that my CPU and GPU performance has dropped to an unacceptably low level. With my 144hz display and playing Apex Legends my FPS has dropped from ~110/20 down to ~40fps. Not sure why this is as apparently there isn't meant to be a drop in performance, but this is bad. I don't even want to start a game it's that bad.

Can anyone help? am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks guys

Cancel that. It was my own fault. I forgot I had enabled 'whisper mode' in Geforce Experience which lowers maximum FPS prior to finding this thread. Turned that off and now its back up to where it normally is. I'm going to play a couple of games on Apex and post my results. My temps are normally ~90 degrees CPU and 80/85 GPU.

Averaging there ~85 degrees. Not as effective as I was expecting/hoping for, but a difference nonetheless. I'll keep using the software.

@ArchDevil amazon for ex but bare in mind the size as there's no actual guidelines for it might be 1.0/1.5mm or even mixed so check very well the best it's to try to not damage anything and on those vrm chipset that have a pink paste you can use kryonaut on them as getting that paste it's probably impossible for what i have seen (only 2019 h300 have that pink paste ) also win 10 1909 has a useless implemented feature that makes the cpu working on 2 cores only while all the others are idling (waiting to be used if needed) this means it will be turbo boosting at all times even on idle causing the temps to stay higher good luck 😉👍
This are my temps after repasting and using Havit cooling pad, This after playing CoD Warzone on max settings and room temp about 25c and i dd not use the ThrottleStop config.

I will try the config tomorrow and see if it helped more.

@xapim I just now realized i forgot to change the pink paste... guess i will need to open the laptop and repaste the gpu+cpu cpu also put kryonaut on the place the pink paste was. Also i noticed that im missing one small screw where the gpu is. What method do you recommend using on the parts where the pink paste was? Also i would like probably to change the thermal pads to better one if it can help somehow... what do you suggest?

Yup u definitely need to get some thermal paste in the VRAM chipset also loosing a heatsink screw (if that's the case) it's not good at all the thermal pads if they're fine I wouldn't touch them but it's up to you

@xapim I didn't lose the screw, it just wasn't there. Anyway i will try to get the same screw size from my father's work. The thermal pads didn't damaged or anything that bad. So i just spread kryonaut on the parts where the pink paste was? don't i need to use thermal pad instead the pink paste? i just found some topics on the internet and even here that people used thermal pads instead of thermal paste for the VRM.
  • @ArchDevil it would be interesting if you sent a photo of the part that is missing the screw!

You need to update your Microsoft C++ and Microsoft .NET
    what would be the version?

This happened after applying the uv configuration but it should be 3600mhz all the time right? It fluctuats but most of the time it's 2991mhz

Sorry i am newbie to this, what do you mean exactly? I know the clock speeds are set to 3600 on this config when 6 cores are active but i am getting 2991 most of the time a friend of mine used the same config and he's getting 3588 I don't understand why.

@xapim Hey i got a same size screw to replace the missing one. So do i clean the pink paste and spread Kryonaut paste on them? put the same amount as on cpu and gpu on a thicker layer?

Great. i will spread the same amount on that parts too and update. Also which software do you use to check the temps? I've got different temps with Core Temp, HWMonitor and Predator Sense so i don't know which is more accurate for laptops...

I did what you told me but still the same happens the clock speed is sitting at 2991 in games but it boosts to the vaules it supposed to be in normal use and in benchmarks I don't get why it doesn't do that in games
Does this have to do something with it? I

I fixed the problem i had. I want to ask about the higher tdp. Is it safe with higher value/ won't it generate more heat?
