After laptop goes to sleep, intermittently (~50% of the times) when I press power button to wake, the keyboard lights up and I can hear fan running but the display remains black.  Pressing Enter key or moving touchpad does nothing.   Fn+F5 or Fn+F6 does nothing.  Already disabled fast startup.  The only thing that brings it back is to do hard shutdown (press power key for 10 seconds) and then power back on.   Aspire E5-576G, bios version 1.47,  running Windows 10 home 64-bit factory installed.    Graphics device 1: NVIDIA GeForce MX150, Graphics device 2: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620.

I'm having the same problem for the last few months and I've tried everything with no luck whatsoever. My issues started once windows updated to the latest version. I'm convinced it's a driver issue, but no one has resolved this issue as yet. PLEASE ACER TEAMS, PLEASE HELP ALL OF US TO FIND A SOLUTION FOR THIS?

My Acer Aspire E 15, with Windows 10, doesn't wake up from sleep. The power light remains on, and sometimes the keyboard is lighted too, but the screen is blank. I have to do a hard reset by holding down the power button until the power light goes off. This has been a problem since I purchased the laptop. This is so frustrating, what should I do?

I'm having the same exact issue as o.p., excthis only started happening recently, within the past 1-2 months.  I've had the computer for over a year and never had this problem until recently.  So it's likely a Windows update bug that needs to be fixed by Microsoft.

    Mine is Aspire E 15 E5-576-392H
    BIOS Version/Date Insyde Corp. V1.49, 12/11/2018
Anyone have a permanent or at least long-term solution?  I already tried the powercfg -h off/on thing.

Disable screen auto-turning off from power settings (not sleep), restart and see if your sleep problem is solved :)

    Try these settings
