My experience with my w700

I purchased a W700 at the end of february. I loved the hardware and I loved windows 8. Everything was fine until I started noticing things that were not quite right.

First, the battery wasnt quite right; it didnt charge to 100%. Then, after a couple of cycles, it would charge to 100% but after being unplugged it would quickly drop down to 96 or 95 percent.

Then, the stuck pixel. It's at the top right, which sounds good, but whenver I go to type in a website the black bar from IE drops down and I see a nice white pixel on the black background.

SO I contacted Acer in regards to both the issues. I looked up the pixel policy and even though mine didnt fall into the min 4 pixels they require, they agreed to fix it. So, instead of returning the unit and just buying another one, I decided to be a good citizen and send it in for repair.

Three weeks later the tablet comes back with the pixel issue unaddressed. So I contacted support, complained about this, and the support person assured me he'd make a special note and it would get fixed this time. I sent it back in again.

Cue to about two days ago, I receive the tablet. Pixel still stuck. I have had enough of this so I decided to get a refund and called support. After speaking to 4 different people because nobody would help me, it turns out they will not refund the tablet because it's over 30 days after the purchase. Nevermind it's their fault it's been back to service twice, they refuse to help me out. I will continue to call and push my case. Will update topic if I get anything resolved

When you sent the tablet back, did they fix the battery issue? I am having a similar issue where my battery will only charge to 92% and is slowly decreasing the amount of charge it can hold with each charge

Yes. But a couple of things to note, take pictures of when you sent it in. The condition report on mine was brand new yet on the report they type scratch marks and surface wear. There were none the tablet was new. Seems  like a cheap tactic to cover their butt if they damage it. Two, they refuse to give you a shipping label to return the tablet unless you make a fuss. Three, my screen was not fully inserted into the tablet, had to kinda pop it back in. Scary moment. And lastly, be ready to give up the tablet for close to a month
