Cannot enable legacy boot mode on ES1-533

Having issues switching to legacy boot mode on a ES1-533 Acer laptop I am trying to troubleshoot.
I have set a supervisor password in order to unlock the option to disable secure boot, disabled secure boot, saved and exited the "bios", re-entered the bios to find that it is still hard set to UEFI boot mode still and I am still not able to change it. There is also a secure boot mode option under security I am not able to select. I even tried setting a user password and hard drive password for ***** and giggles. There is nothing in the online manual pertaining to this from what I can see. Anyone have any experience with this one?
EDIT: I should also mention that I am attempting to boot from a bootable USB flash drive formatted non-UEFI(MBR) that contains various utilities. Usually I can just disable secure boot, enable legacy boot mode, boot from the drive and do my thing and then go back and change back the settings in the bios.

The system is out of warranty and couldn't get support for it. Not sure where to go from here.0

@smiroPress window key +R then type msconfig enable safe boot then, change sata mode to ahci no bios. You may need to press ctrl + s on the main tab.
1)go to bios then Disable secure boot in boot menu to do that 1st you need to set supervisor password
2) make bootable USB in partition gpt not mbr through rufus
