Hello,

My bluetooth stopped working this afternoon, after having worked just fine for ages as recently as last night. It looks like for some reason windows has decided that I don't have bluetooth. I have tried:

  1. rebooting
  2. reinstalling the bluetooth drivers from teh acer website
  3. uninstalling the device in device manager and then checking for changes - did not find any bluetooth devices
  4. rebooting laptop again
  5. running sfc /scannow file check thing
  6. installing chipset drivers from acer website
I'm at my wits end, I don't really want to roll back windows but I will if I have to.

Relnoir try a battery power drain  let it rest for a couple of hours after boot into bios and reset setup to defaults you can also if youre able to remove the wifi adapter and re-insert it as the wifi and bluetooth are most probably coming from the same adapter (built in) depending on which one you have the last option to rule out any software issues would be a stock recovery clean install but backup everything you would need first and select delete everything option either way hope you get it sorted :)

Points 1 to 4 above plus uninstalling, reinstalling with Killer network bluetooth drivers for version - stilll had it greyed out in Device Manager. Finally battery pin reset brought it back and fully formed. So agree best to start with the simplest solution and go from there.(Didn't need to leave it drain - just the basic unplug and hold pin down in hole for 15 seconds).
