I recently installed a WD Blue 1TB internal HD into my Aspire A515-43 using these instructions from Acer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiadRhJ70Rs) but I don't see it in device manager and don't know how to access it. Any suggestions on what I need to do next or how to troubleshoot?

Yes, You did. You can now enter 'exit' to go back to the regular C ; \> prompt.

The WesternDigital drive's connector may not be fully seated in the mainboard. I suggest that you first try to re-seat it. Jack E/NJ

Press Win+R. Enter 'diskmgmt.msc'. You should see the drive there. It needs to be initialized, assigned a drive letter like D : and formatted NTFS if necessary. Jack E/NJ

Thanks for the response JackE. I've ran disk management but I don't see it on the list.

Remove any USB drives. Then open the elevated command prompt.  At the command prompt enter 'diskpart'. At the diskpart> prompt enter 'list disk'. How many drives to you see? Jack E/NJ

That seems to have done the trick...I don't think the cable between MB and HDD was aligned properly.

    Thanks for your help! :)
