The BIOS is locked for advanced features and you cannot change the fan speed from there. The fans will be at max while charging as charging creates heat

Have you fixed your problem ? I have one acer a715-74g-73qx and verified that every time  the screen saver turns on the cooler keeps very loud . When the screen saver turns off, the cooler keep more quiet

I fixed 50% of the problem it turns out that there is an extension in Chrome that is making the processor fluctuating between 0% and 100% of cpu power and that leads the fan to fluctuating with it so i remove the extension(it was Ad block for youtube :# ).....but the fan still kind of loud but not like befor it was noise....i think its come back normal but i have obsessive about the problem :#:p:p:p

Have you found a way to solve it? I have the same problem, my Acer Aspire 5 is very quiet on battery, but as soon as plug the charger it gets very noisy. I have changed fan from active to passive while charging, also have changed to not be in high performance while charging.
