Sound low on Acer Nitro AN517-51 - Possibly issue with Waves MaxxAudio

The sound on my Acer Nitro AN517-51 is lower than it used to be. I suspect this might be because Waves MaxxAudio isn't working correctly. When opening it, I get the error message "audio driver is not up to date, please check for windows update". As per Acer's advice, I have installed as my Audio Driver Realtek (R) Audio version 6.0.1.8644 and Waves version 1.0.57.0. However, the error message persists.

Please, if anyone could give some advice, I would be very happy!

Yes, that was the first thing I tried. Windows is installing the audio driver version 6.0.1.8666, while Acer Customer Service recommends 6.0.1.8644. I haven’t heard back from them since. I also tried it with Waves 1.0.67.0 and went through all different combinations but I always get the same error message.

It could also be that your speakers or one speaker is on its way out, check that. As that happened to me and I found out that one of my speakers were faulty and I replace it and all worked 100%.

Would that explain why Waves is not working?
