You can install a M.2 NVMe SSD or a M.2 SATA SSD.

Can I replace my HDD with a SSD on my Predator G3-710?0
-
Yes you can. Samsung 870 EVO SATA III 2.5" should be a good option. There are others that might be just as good, but I have had many problem-free Samsung ^SSD drives.
I wouldn't get anything less than 1Tb.0 -
Thx for the feedback and advice. Do I need a bracket and plug for this since I’ll be replacing the 1TB hard drive (“D”)?0

Hi there!
I'm not familiar with your case, but I'd suppose there must be a way to securely install an SSD somehow. But since they are so light and have no moving parts like HDDs, you can secure them in place with double sided tape.
THIS old discussion may interest you. It does mention a bracket, thou.0 -
And if you do prefer they be mounted correctly, you just use a 2.5" to 3.5" HDD adapter. Very easy to do, and not very expensive at all. You also have the hot swap drive bay in the front of the machine that can be used instead of the dual drive bay that's internal. Finally remember that you have an M.2 slot on the MB for an SSD. If you haven't already got that populated it will be the cleanest install with a SATA SSD.
