My Nitro 5 has really high temperatures. During more heavy games my Nitro 5 reaches 90-97 degrees celsius, and that is with the laptop lifted above my desk and the fan speed on max. is this normal? I have never owned a gaming laptop before this one.

The specs of this laptop is as following,
I5 8300h
GTX 1050 4GB
8GB ddr4 ram

Hi, Sorry to hear about your issue. Find the temperature information of your unit below.

Predator and Nitro products are engineered to withstand higher operating temperatures than traditional notebooks. These systems include features that help with cooling and heat dispersion. The CPU and GPU are designed to handle temperature spikes in excess of 98 degrees Celsius without causing damage to the components. It is common for PC temperatures to spike temporarily during heavy gaming or graphic usage. If the system encounters excessive temperatures that could damage the hardware, it will automatically shut down to protect the components from becoming damaged.
If in case if you feel that the unit is still very hot, check the link below and contact the Acer support.

The temperatures dont really spike. It just sits constantly between 90 and 97 degrees. I was just playing rainbow 6 siege and got around 96 when I kept a eye on it with nitrosence on my seccond monitor. I'll try to contact acer support and see what they will say.
