Yes I ordered 32GBs of this RAM and didn't know the 2 primary RAM slots are under the motherboard, both this RAM and the 16GBs already in it are 2666MHz so will this RAM work if I installed it in the other 2 RAM slots which would give a total of 48GBs of RAM?

Welp just tried that RAM and the laptop wouldn't post, apparently I got the wrong RAM as Acer told me I need to get SODIMM RAM of the same size, speed and type. In other words I need to get 2 8GB sticks of 2666MHz RAM so I can upgrade to 32GBs. My laptop model is PH717717091

By default, this series supports a maximum of 64GB of RAM (4 slots) So-DIMM DDR4 2400Mhz

I recommend that you use CPU-z to check your installed one.

Somemtimes you can cheat (copy cat) a little bit and see what other people have installed in their Helios 700.  And just do what they did.

I'm not sure how many different versions of Helios 700 there are, but in the example below, they all appear to be clocked at 2666.

So you can download userbenchmark and do a benchmark and see...       You can actually figure out the part # people buy and do a google search and buy it from Amazon or Newegg or wherever.

The examples below are PH717-71, with i7-9750H.

If I had a PH717-71, I would buy the exact same 8GB Hynix part from Amazon

    https://www.amazon.com/Hynix-PC4-21300-DDR4-2666MHz-260-Pin-HMA81GS6CJR8N-VK/dp/B07JP4C1PD

Here’s the 16 GB Hynix part on Newegg

My laptop says the speed of RAM installed is 2666MHz. I think the issue is before my 32GBs of corsair RAM will work I have to remove the 16GBs of RAM that came with the laptop and install the 32Gbs of corsair vengeance, then purchase 32GBs more of corsair vengeance for the other 2 slots if I want 64Gbs. I'm going to have best buy disassemble the laptop and remove the RAM already in it then install my corsair vengeance 2666MHz RAM

I'm going to go ahead and get the 16GBs already in the laptop removed so all 4 slots will be empty, then I'm going to have the 32GBs of 2666MHz corsair vengeance RAM installed which it should work since the 16GBs of RAM that came with it will be removed.

RapidRanger66 if later you would want to upgrade to 64gb and still re-use the stock 16gb just get another to match it and you should be fine if not get another 32gb set but in my view 32gb its more than enough and in most cases not even all used 64gb its a real waste :)

Yeah 32GBs is fine and then if I ever want to upgrade to 64GBs, then I'll just buy another 32GB set of corsair vengeance to put into the other 2 slots. But yeah taking my laptop to best buy today so they can remove the RAM that came with the laptop and install the corsair vengeance.

Yeah I haven an i7-9750h and RTX 2070, what I find really stupid is that the RAM acer shipped with the laptop is deep on the other side of the motherboard, which is why I have to let best buy install the RAM for me and remove the stock RAM acer shipped with it.

Yes the H700 are a bit like the t500 the stock ram it's on the other side of  the mobo you have to completely disassemble it to access it 😉

I got pretty ***** off at Acer, I had my laptop down here at best buy the 1st time checked in to get the RAM removed and the new RAM installed, but then an acer employee told me misinformation and said that the 16GBs it came with were sautered onto the motherboard and not removable so then I went back to best buy picked it up and went home but today something struck me as odd today. I got to thinking if that 16GBs is sautered on and not removable and there's only 4 RAM slots, then how the hell could you reach 64GBs so I contacted acer again and the new person told me the other guy gave me misinformation and apologized. So now I have my laptop back at best buy finally getting the RAM done and have to go back to pick it up in a few days.
