I see that this thread was started Jan 2018. Two years later, it appears as the number one Google result on the search term "acer aspire e15 hingr replacement" even though I misspelled "hinge", haha. Well, I just joined the hinge issue club, since the right hinge has come apart and right side of the bezel just now popped off when I attempted to open up the laptop. Has anybody come up with a fix/repair/modification/alteration that has stood the test of time so far? Are replacement hinges available? At least my hinges have lasted over two years of daily opening and closing.

Scroll up to see my "fix".
I'm still using the binder clip, although I did put a piece of duct tape on to keep it from popping off when I put it in my shoulder bag.

Some admin moved my message from the other thread so this one doesn't make sense.

@JimH34762 I did a permanent fix on mine. I first lubricated the inside of the hinge then used Gorilla Glue and placed a small C clamp on it for 24 hours and I have had no problems since

I thought about doing that, but I was worried about glueing the hinge shut.
    What lube did you use?
