So I have a AN515-42. Every time I launch a game (without plugging in) my Ghz speed drops down to 0.90 Ghz. When I exit my game it does back up to 1.55 Ghz. Why does this happen?

as i said before, after the reset things are different. I know plugging in will give me a better performance boost but when I used the play without a charger my fps was decent. But after the reset things were "DIFFERENT". My fps went even lower.

And as I showed you above change your processor to 100% when on battery in advanced power settings for your power plan if that is what you want but I don't advise it because you will have terrible battery life. The way you had it before was in fact incorrect and the way it is now is in fact the correct setting
If you return your processor to 100% on battery you should get the FPS back to how it was before however this is not how your laptop was designed to game and you will reduce the overall lifetime of your battery

    IMP-Update you bios .
Game should be play while plugin without plugin according system 50% of power will use .
1)ALSO YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR GRAPHIC DRIVER.
2)SET POWER PLAN TO HIGH PERFORMANCE FROM NITROSENSE

1st you need to update your bios

Follow my walkthrough below for maximum gaming performance on your exact model

First make sure you game with your battery charged to 100% BEFORE gaming and KEEP plugged into the main AC power while gaming. Make sure "High Performance when on AC", is selected in your Windows Power Plan and in Nitrosense. If you fail to do this your CPU will run at around 50% of capacity and you will experience poor game performance. Nitro 5 laptops are not designed to game on battery alone.

The new AMD Adrenalin 2020 Control Center is designed to give support for your hardware and contains Mobile Driver support for this exact model, the Graphics Drivers on the Acer site are only base drivers. Click the link below to download the 2020 Control Center and the latest drivers for the RX560x will be automatically installed
    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-20-2-1

Open the New AMD 2020 Control Center and click the GAMING tab then click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and select ADD A GAME, navigate to your games .exe file and double click it to add it, or you can select SCAN FOR GAMES and let the Control Center search your harddrive for games to add. After successfully adding the game click on the game and you will be taken to another window and click the LAUNCH GAME tab.
Only in this way will your games use the Discrete Rx560x GPU, NEVER launch your game through a desktop shortcut or any other way, do it in the manner I have described.

Please remember that online gaming may experience low fps and stutter due to the games servers and bottlenecking and that has nothing to do with your GPU.

I tried all these options but sadly my Ghz still dropped to 0.70.. I think It's because I tried resetting my pc via usb and I somehow deleted the Acer drive (where windows is installed) and made it into a new one. After I did all the installation I checked my Pc's name and it showed as "desktop" instead of "laptop". My Gh'z was fine without plugging in and it ran 1.50 Ghz but after the reset it went down hill.

You cannot game on battery without your processor "Ghz speed" going down unless you go into advanced power settings and change your processor speed under battery to 100% but your battery will drain really fast. Your laptop is designed to game on AC power. Please read the post below THOROUGHLY
