Acer nitro 5 2019 wont turn on

I was working on my computer and when i noticed my battery was down to 20 percent. I decided to plug it in to an outlet when all of a sudden it went black.

I tried turning it back on however it is not working. I tried unplugging and plugging the cord but to no avail. The charging buttons arent also working. It does not lit up to indicate if its charging or not.

As per suggestions on the forum, i opened up my acer nitro 5 2019 version to unplug the battery and pressed the power button and put back the battery but still not working

Just wondering if there are other suggestions out there.

Thanks for your time.

    Hi,
Could you please post the full model name of the laptop, like AN5-xxx, in the meantime, take out the memory modules and reseat them properly after wiping the pins with a soft cloth one by one and check, you could also try this, go to BIOS screen, move to Main tab and press F9 button, then press F10 to Save and exit.

Hi there. Thank you for your quick response. The model number of my Acer Nitro 5 2019 model is AN 515 54 76U0

I cannot turn it on at all. So i wont be able to go to BIOS. I have not tried removing RAM but i dont think that is the issue because it was all working fine until that day when i plugged the power on the outlet and i feel like it might have shorted. Not too sure though because shouldnt these thinga have some kind of protection.

And it was normal to plug it in while its turn on right? I always do that when my battery is running low. Anyway hooing for more suggeations. And this is fairly new when it happened.

I also checked the other parts earlier when i opened it, if there were loose parts. It does not seem so.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
You could try a battery reset, switch off the laptop, disconnect from mains, then press Power button for 12 secs, leave the laptop to rest for a while, reconnect the AC adapter and fully charge the battery before start using.

I tried that. I even opened up the laptop to disconnect the battery since my acer nitro 5 does not have the pinhole to reset the battery.

I also tried pressing the power button before and after but it really is not working at all.

And when i plug it in the outlet, no lights indicating that the laptop is charging at all. How to check if the battery or the power cord or the motherboard is the issue?

    Thanks again.

    Hi,
I think you have to send it for a service to Acer service centre or get it fixed by a technician at a local repair shop.
