Not sure I understand the English here, but the short answer is YES. I have upgraded many Acer 5742s to SSD drives. I would update to the 1.30 BIOS before making the upgrade. Although I do not know the particulars of this BIOS version, it is the latest, and many BIOS upgrades are issued just to enable a computer to accept advanced hardware.

Just as guide to you, I've upgraded many Aspire laptops of that era, as an example a 5750-2414 (which is very similar to your Aspire 5742G) make sure that you have the latest BIOS 2012/11/13 Version: 1.30 installed. As these laptops can be upgraded with an SSD, i7 CPU, RAM and a 5G/2.4G WiFi/BT card, which is not a problem. If you have the i5-450M CPU you can see the CPU upgrades that you can do here: http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/Intel/Core_i5_Mobile/i5-450M_(BGA).html

This is what I used on the 5750-2414 as an example, Samsung SSD EVO 850 1TB (the newer Samsung SSD's 2.5" will also work) 4GB OEM to 8GB PC3-1666MHz RAM, i5-2410M to an i7-2720QM CPU (see here for CPU upgrade guide: www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/index.html) and an Atheros WiFi/BT card. This setup worked 100% and perfectly and the laptop was 100% faster and more efficient!
