So is the srs audio gives better sound compared to waves ?

I think it probably does, but it is only marginal on the free version because it's kind of locked. I reckon the paid version would unlock the dials and give better volume for sure, and maybe even a bit on the bass, but until I try it I won't know 100%.

Do you have an easy e-trail or link for the screen driver you mentioned earlier in the thread, I've tried looking about and I can't find a very detailed screen review, even though I have read one before.

Actually, I found the bit in sound settings where you can switch back and forth between audio controllers instantly, and for now I have gone back to Realtek.

The Realtek option is louder, maybe that's the locked stuff in free SRS, but until I commit I need the volume over any quality gain.

Oh, and back on Realtek, Maxx audio on or off makes no difference again, as far as i can make out.

Don't know what Radeon drivers you are using but I did notice if you first do a clean install with the amd drivers from Acer's homepage version 17 something and than search on Google and download version 19.6.3 and download and select express install then u keep freesync and sleep is working just fine. But if u do a clean install then u loose freesync. So that's a tip from my side.

I've ended up on 20.1.4, more by luck than judgement, and Freesync is fine at the mo (or at least it is enabled in the Radeon software). I'm a bit worried about updates of all kinds messing things up, but if there is one thing that's worse than updates, it's no updates. I think.
